Some clearings don't get much light. These two found one anyway.
A small round pendant, domed and antique silver, with a serrated edge that reads like something minted long ago in a place that no longer appears on maps. Inside: a dark moss background, deep and still, and two tiny white mushrooms standing in it like they've been there since before the hollow had a name. The whole thing is just under half an inch across — small enough to keep close, quiet enough to keep secret.
It hangs on a 16" adjustable silver-tone chain, which keeps it near the collarbone, which is exactly where small secrets belong. As with all pieces, this one is one of a kind. Once it's gone, it's gone.
