Acorn of the Quiet Lilac

This acorn holds a tiny world, and the dried lilacs give it their quiet color. Their soft purple settles inside the resin like a small dusk, gentle and still. A miniature mushroom rises beside them, and a curled snail shell rests nearby, each one held in place as if the forest arranged them before the acorn cap ever found them.

The lilacs are the first thing you notice, but the mushroom and shell give the piece its balance. The resin keeps everything close, clear enough that you can see every detail. The acorn cap frames the scene with its warm texture, turning the pendant into a small keepsake from a quiet place. It hangs on an eighteen inch silver tone chain and rests just below the collarbone, steady and soft.

From my studio, part of the Hidden Glen series, where the woods keep their secrets and the resin keeps them close. This acorn is one of several in the series, each with its own tiny world, but this one belongs to the lilacs. Once it is gone, it is gone.
