This pendant holds a single small mushroom inside a dark resin teardrop, rooted in a bed of moss with a fragment of rock from the Phoenix Mine here in Colorado tucked in beneath it. The resin is deep and clear, the kind of dark that isn't absence but presence, something settled and unhurried. The silver-tone setting is simple, letting the world inside speak for itself.
About an inch and a half long, light enough to wear all day, the kind of piece that doesn't announce itself but gets noticed anyway. From my studio, part of the Hidden Glen series, where the quiet parts of the forest are the most interesting ones. As with all pieces, this one is one of a kind. Once it's gone, it's gone.
