This pendant is built inside a vintage-style link, filled with resin over a hand-painted fairy wing that shifts through the full spectrum of an oil slick — dark and iridescent, the kind of color that changes its mind depending on the light. It is the kind of thing you find pressed between the pages of a book that belonged to someone who knew where to look.
From my studio, part of the Hidden Glen series, where the boundary between the ordinary and the otherworldly is thinner than it appears. The wing measures approximately 1.5 inches in length and hangs from a silver chain that adjusts to 18 inches, so it settles exactly where it wants to.
As with all pieces, this one is one of a kind. Once it's gone, it's gone.
