Some things are found twice. Once by whoever made them first, and once by whoever knew what to do with them next. The circular frame this pendant lives in was a vintage jewelry piece before it became this, and it shows, in the best way. The patina, the weight, the way it sits, it has a history that the resin inside it doesn't try to hide.
Inside that reclaimed gold-tone loop, two small golden mushrooms rise out of dark mossy resin, and the whole thing has a stained glass quality, light filtering through in layers, warm and amber and a little ancient. It's the kind of piece that looks like it was excavated rather than made, which is exactly the point.
From my studio, part of the Vintage Glen series, where old things are given new purpose and the forest gets the final say. As with all pieces, this one is one of a kind. Once it's gone, it's gone.
