The forest floor keeps its own kind of treasure.
This pendant holds a small world inside a clear resin teardrop: three tiny mushrooms rising from a bed of preserved moss, copper flakes tucked in among the green, and a miniature shell nestled at the base of it all. The resin is clear and deep, the kind that lets you look straight into the scene the way you might crouch down and look at the actual forest floor, finding more the longer you look. The silver-tone setting is ornate, with larger textured links on the chain, a little more dressed up than the others.
From my studio, part of the Hidden Glen series, where the floor of the glen is as interesting as anything above it. As with all pieces, this one is one of a kind. Once it's gone, it's gone.
