Acorn of the Still Spiral

This acorn holds a tiny world, and the white snail shell is its center. The resin settles over the spiral like water over a stone, clear enough that you can see every curve. Around it, a white flower, a small piece of pinecone, and a bit of moss gather in a way that feels natural, as if the forest arranged them before I ever touched the acorn cap.

The cap itself frames everything with its warm texture, turning the piece into a small keepsake from a quiet place. The shell gives it a sense of stillness, the kind you find when the woods pause and let you notice something small. It hangs on an eighteen inch gold tone chain and rests just below the collarbone, gentle and steady.

From my studio, part of the Hidden Glen series, where the woods keep their secrets and the resin keeps them close. This acorn is one of several in the series, each with its own tiny world, but this one belongs to the spiral. Once it is gone, it is gone.
