The Salvaged Wing Pendant

$73.00

A found chain had already lived one life. It seemed right to give it another.

The bezel of this pendant was salvaged from a vintage chain, taken apart, it is formed into a misshapen teardrop that holds its wing-like silhouette the way something found always does, a little imperfect, a little inevitable. Inside the resin, a sketch of a moth wing unfurls behind a single small mushroom, and at the base, a fragment of rock from the Phoenix Mine here in Colorado, pulled from the same earth that once gave up its gold. The whole thing is quiet and a little strange, the kind of piece that asks to be looked at twice.

From my studio, part of the Vintage Glen series, where the glen holds onto old things and the moths know all the best routes. As with all pieces, this one is one of a kind. Once it's gone, it's gone.
