The glen keeps records of everything that grows in the quiet places. This one was filed under mushrooms, moss, and the particular lavender that blooms where no one is looking.
Two small mushrooms rise from a bed of moss and dried lavender buds, suspended in a clear resin teardrop about three quarters of an inch long. The pendant hangs from an 18-inch adjustable silver chain, close to the collarbone, the kind of thing that catches the eye of someone who knows what to look for.
From my studio in Loveland, Colorado, part of the Hidden Glen series. As with all pieces, this one is one of a kind. Once it's gone, it's gone.
