It was found between two worlds, which is exactly where fairy wings tend to end up.
This pendant is double-sided and does not commit to just one story. On one side: a silver burst radiates outward through clear resin, a shell suspended at its center, cream and striated, catching the silver light, a single red flower resting at the top like a crown or a coincidence. On the other: a hand-painted copper wing, dark and intricate, etched with folded wing details, veined and layered the way wings are when they're at rest, a crescent moon, and the quiet suggestion that something was here recently and has since taken flight. Both sides are finished. Both sides are the point.
The chain is ornate, copper-toned with silver filigree links added along the length — not a chain so much as a procession. The whole piece hangs just over two inches tall on a 22" adjustable chain, which gives it room to turn, which it will, because it has two sides and knows it.
This is a reversible pendant. As with all pieces, this one is one of a kind. Once it's gone, it's gone.
