The sea left something behind, and the forest moved in.
This pendant is tall and rectangular, set inside an ornate silver filigree frame with floral corners — the kind of frame that suggests something important lives here, and is correct. Inside: a small shell, and growing directly from it, a cluster of mushrooms. Not beside it. Not near it. From it. As if the tide came in, left a shell, and the glen quietly claimed it as its own. The result is something that should not be possible and is, somehow, perfect.
It hangs just over an inch and a quarter tall on a 20" adjustable silver-tone chain, long enough to let it move. As with all pieces, this one is one of a kind. Once it's gone, it's gone.
