Percy the Pet Ghost

Percy does not walk into a room. He sweeps.

He lives inside a round of resin in deep amethyst and smoky violet, flecked all over with gold splatter like someone shook a jar of stars above him and he simply stood there and let it happen. His tail trails off into a long curling wisp, the kind of dramatic exit a ghost makes when it knows it is being watched. The bezel around him is irregular and gold toned, hammered a little out of round, so the whole piece looks less like a frame and more like a puddle of gold that decided to hold him.

He is a pet ghost, which means he is low maintenance in the way only the dearly departed can be. No feeding, no walks, no opinions about your schedule. He just comes along, hovers at your collarbone, and makes the case that you have excellent taste in the afterlife.

From my studio, part of the Spooky Glen series, a limited seasonal release of five little ghosts who each wandered in with their own coloring and their own attitude. When the season closes, the Glen closes with it. Once he is gone, he is gone.
